Winners announced for the New Welsh Readers’ Poll 2017: Best Memoir and Novella (02-03-2017)

As well as looking for the best short form writing for Memoir and the Novella
via the New Welsh Writing Awards we asked readers to vote for their favourite Memoirs and Novellas ever published in the English language in our New Welsh Readers' Poll 2017.

We are delighted to reveal the winners of the Best Memoir and Best Novella ever published in English as voted for by the public. Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi, trans Anjali Singh (Vintage Books), is the winner of the Best Memoir category and received 50% of the vote. Grief is the Thing with Feathers by Max Porter (Faber) is the winner of the Best Novella category with 55% of the vote. Congratulations to Marjane Satrapi and Max Porter.
