NWR Issue 118

Pin

The boy who broke the surface
of the water, never came back,

wanting to be as daring as the others
sitting with their backs to the river...

Frank Dullaghan is an Irish writer living in Dubai, UAE. Cinnamon Press published his collection, Lifting the Latch, in May. His poems have been published widely in poetry magazines and journals including New Welsh Review. In 2014, he was commissioned to provide the final renditions (from literal English translations) of the poems of HH Sheikh Mohammed, Ruler of Dubai. His poems, together with the translations, were published in Flashes of Verse by Explorer Publishing in 2014. Eyewear Publications brought out his pamphlet, Secrets of the Body (a series of poems on the mythical Pope Joan), in 2016.
